Why Maintenance Contracts Make Sense

Electrical systems are rarely top of mind until something goes wrong — and by then, the issue is usually bigger (and more expensive) than it would have been caught early. A maintenance contract is the simplest way to stay ahead of problems.

For smart home owners, software updates and device recalibration are part of the value. Lutron systems benefit from periodic firmware updates and scene adjustments. Nest and Ring devices can drift or lose integration over time — we reset and reconfigure as part of every Premium and Platinum visit.

Our contract customers also get priority scheduling, which matters most during peak seasons and after major storms when demand surges and standard customers wait longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a maintenance inspection actually cover?

Each visit includes a full inspection of your electrical panel (checking for hot breakers, proper labeling, overloading signs), all GFCI and AFCI outlets, smoke and CO detector function tests, outdoor outlets and lighting, and any smart home devices in your system. We document everything in CompanyCam and share a digital report with you after each visit.

Can I join a maintenance plan even if you didn't install my system?

Absolutely. We assess your existing electrical system and smart home setup at the first visit and bring you up to current standards. Many of our contract customers signed up after a service call when they saw the value of staying ahead of problems rather than reacting to them.

Is there a contract commitment?

Plans auto-renew annually. You can cancel with 30 days notice before the renewal date. There are no penalties for cancellation.

Do maintenance contracts cover commercial properties?

Yes — we offer commercial maintenance agreements separately. Commercial contracts include LED lighting checks, emergency exit lighting tests, panel inspections, and compliance documentation. Call us for a custom commercial quote.
